The Buff Bride Bridal Fitness Program
A Pilates Exercise Routine To Stay In Everlasting Shape
So you’re getting married and you want to get into buff bride shape for the big day. Is there a special bridal fitness program? Yes…it’s called Pilates. Buff bride fitness programs are becoming very popular to market because demand is high. Special fitness for brides? Here’s what I think: it’s not so special. There are some downright bad videos out there marketed directly to the brides to be. They all offer the same old stuff: squats, lunges, crunches, and bicep curls. Yawn. Wake me in 30 minutes. There does seem to be some very good Internet programs that you can purchase to get you into buff bride shape, but the downside is that most are a one-time purchase and then you are on your own. If you are not motivated enough to work out on your own, buyer beware. A Pilates based buff bride exercise routine strengthens, tones, stretches and relaxes you. It helps to improve your posture and makes you feel good. Sounds like a bridal fitness program to me! Besides,
Pilates is good for your sex life
Need I say more?? If you have never done Pilates before, give yourself at least four months of twice a week workouts to really get the results you want. You can combine this with diet, cardio, and any other strength training you might be doing. Find yourself a qualified instructor and get started. I have worked with many brides to be in my eleven years of teaching and they all have the same objective. They want to look great and feel confident in their gown. Most will describe or show me their gown and we’ll build a workout based on the type of dress they will wear. Remember that Pilates is a full body workout, but we’ll put extra emphasis on whatever body parts the bride wants to focus on. Let’s break it down to the type of dress you are wearing for your wedding, starting with a strapless bodice and flowing skirt. You may want to cinch your waist, tone your arms and work on your back and shoulders since these are the most exposed body parts for that kind of dress.
Here’s a free Pilates exercise for your shoulders and upper back: • The Zipper: Standing with feet in Pilates stance, arms down in front of your pelvis, hands together and in fists, as if holding a barbell. With resistance, pull your fists straight up the center of your body all the way to your throat, elbows going higher than your hands and keeping fists together. Imagine pulling up a very large zipper. Pause at the top and lower down. It’s very important to create resistance within your own body! Move slowly. Repeat ten times, three sets. If the dress you’ve chosen is form fitting and mermaid-like, you may want to pay extra attention to your outer hip area. Here are two more free Pilates exercises for the legs, butt and hips: • Side Leg Series: Lie on your left side, legs slightly in front of your body and stacked right on top of each other, head resting on your arm. Lift your right leg to hip height and swing it in front of you without moving your body. Now swing the leg behind you squeezing your butt and keeping your body very stable. Keep working your abdominals to help stabilize your body. Repeat ten times. • Follow With Leg Lift: Lift right leg in parallel position just above hip height and lower without resting it down. Repeat ten times, turn and do both exercises on the other leg. Weight loss is another often heard concern for brides. (and maybe grooms too!)
Pilates is a perfect piece of the weight loss puzzle
and compliments any Pilates exercise routine you are doing right now. Getting in shape for your wedding is not always an easy task, but it is a result driven reason to get moving. Give Pilates exercise a try. With this buff bride fitness program, you’ll be walking tall and lean down that aisle!
